The Myers' Cocktail started as a type of IV nutrient therapy developed by Baltimore physician Dr. John Myers, who was using IV therapy to help patients with a range of symptoms. After Myers' death, Dr. Alan Gaby took over his work, altering the ingredients in the cocktail and naming it after Myers. Since then, it’s been commonly used in several types of clinical facilities.

At Rocky Mountain IV Medics, the Myers' Cocktail is our best-selling IV therapy package. We’ve seen it work for countless patients, providing them with noticeable relief. Barring special circumstances, this is the IV treatment we recommend for Denver-area patients suffering from symptoms of:

Ingredients in a Myers' Cocktail

The Myers' Cocktail contains six different vitamins and minerals essential for health and wellness. Each ingredient in this IV fluid addresses certain symptoms and needs. Together, they’re a powerful combination that banishes fatigue and replaces it with a burst of energy. Rocky Mountain IV Medics uses medical-grade fluids and ingredients in all of our drip IVs, just like the Myers’ Cocktail IVs you’d receive at a hospital emergency room or urgent care clinic.

The Myers’ Cocktail ingredients include:

  • Saline/Lactated Ringers: Each IV contains 1,000mL of normal saline or Lactated Ringers solution, which is essentially electrolytes and water. The solution delivers the rest of the nutrients to the body and replenishes fluids and electrolytes, which is ideal for addressing dehydration.

  • Vitamin B12: This vitamin can help maintain blood cell and nerve health. Vitamin B12 can also help reduce fatigue and relieve migraine symptoms.

  • Vitamin B complex: Our B-Complex contains: B1(Thiamine HCI), B2 (Riboflavin-5 Phosphate Sodium), B3 (Niacinamide), B5 (Dexpanthenol), and B6 (Pyridoxine HCl) vitamins which play a crucial role in cell metabolism and energy production, making them valuable for addressing fatigue. Like B12, the B vitamins in this group are powerful energy producers.

  • Vitamin C: Most people know vitamin C for its important role in the immune system. What many don't know is that it also relates to muscle, bone, and blood vessel health. Whether you're fighting a cold or recovering after an athletic event, vitamin C could aid in the healing process.

  • Zinc: This vital mineral helps the body resist infection and repair damaged tissue. It’s often used for immune system support.

  • Magnesium: The heart and circulatory system get crucial support from this mineral. It's also used to prevent migraine attacks and lessen migraine symptoms. Magnesium may also ease symptoms related to anxiety and insomnia.

  • Glutathione: This antioxidant fights free radicals in the body. Free radicals can cause cellular damage if left unchecked. Glutathione may also support the immune system and help detoxify the body of chemicals.
